I feel slightly odd posting here, but I've literally no idea on how to get in contact with anybody on this site any other way, so here goes nothing.
My Name is Lyall. I'm brand new to LJ, as in my journal is 3 days old, that said I spam it like a maniac already. I'm an insomniac and writing is what I tend to late night/early morning when your all tucked up asleep, as such I can't say I'm particularly coherent.
I'm opinionated in the extreme, on pretty much everything controversial... but I'm open for debate, infact I enjoy it more than anything, intelligent conversation is hard for me to come by due to the fact I basically live like a hermit at the moment.
anyway, I'm a bit lost for what else I can say, because writing about my self is a special weak spot of mine, so just add me whenever, read my journal if it feels like chewing cardboad you can always just remove me.

This is round two for me.
My name is Thom. My journal is built on personal entries, poetry, demo song recordings, and fictional writing. I express myself through varying mediums, in sometimes very obscure ways. I purchased a scanner/printer combination of magnificence, so my pool of resources is growing.
I began keeping a lj for a few reasons. One, to meet and network- I have much interest in what anyone is writing about. Two, I was in a transitional state of mind between harnessing the illusion of relationship and misinterpreting the term 'alone.' I suppose I sought to provide myself with personal therapy with emotion driven writing based on self evaluation, and further discussion. But, I'm not sure if that had much success, as I didn't do much personal writing =). Three, provide and recieve writing critque. Four, to have an outlet to reveal brutal honesty, and to revisit past darkness- to free myself, to help free others.
I read many, if not all, of my friend's entries. Though, I generally only comment if the content intrigues, or if I have a pure inclination to do so- although, it's difficult without building friendships. This is not saying entries are more important than others. Some just aren't as open ended to comments as others.
As for interests, I love music of all kinds. Singer-songwriter/ folk music appeals to me most. Tom Waits is my favorite musician, followed by Jeff Mangum, Andrew Bird, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and others of the sorts. I play piano, guitar, and several other stringed instruments, and the harmonica. I prefer playing music alone, which many people find strange- and sometimes, so do I.
Also very invested in film. Favorite writer/directors are Todd Solondz and Micheal Haneke.
I study literature and education. I plan for Grad school, and after participating in changing traditional systematic education. I believe, education and knowledge are the essential keys to the sustainability of the Earth. It's priority, even until it consumes me whole.
Well, I have high hopes in meeting new friends.

Hello! I feel kinda weird writing this, but I don't know how else to meet people :T
I'm not exactly new to livejournal, but I did just make a new account, so I looking for some friends. Some facts about me:
-I'm am an odd teenager.
-I love the series Silent Hill and Trauma Center. There are of course more games I love, but those are the top two ♥
-My favorite animes/mangas right now are Kuroshitsuji, Maria Holic, School Rumble, APH, and xxxHolic.
-I love anything creepy. Stories, pictures, movies, ect. It's just so interesting. I get this love from my grandmother.. haha.
-My musical taste is quite broad.. I don't tend to like a specific band, I just like different songs. So my iPod is a mess of songs from rap to J-Rock to things I don't even know how to categorize.
-I enjoy sarcasm very much.
-I'm a bit shy, but it doesn't take too long for me to open up if we have something in common. So if you're interested, I would be extremely glad to have you as a friend!
I'm not that big of a poster myself, but I absolutely love commenting on other posts.

My name is Samantha (Sam, Samy, Samchops) I am one and twenty
I was born in Ga but moved to fl at a very young age (8). I currently attend the University of Florida (Go Gators) where I am currently trying to learn German (my major is psychology), I am completely obsessed with Germany and all things German and hope to study abroad there this summer. I am really interested in travel particularly abroad.
I love love love watching movies: my favorites are romance comedy comedy, action, and based on true story/inspirational films. I love musicals: Wicked and Phantom of the Opera being my favorites and plays. I listen to all types of music, not as much to rap and country but I do listen to them as well. I love rollercoasters and am a thrill seeker. I have a tattoo and plan on getting a few more. I do like to read but I go through phases of reading periods. I mostly just love hanging out with friends, I talk alot but I get shy in large groups of people. I love summer and the beach and tanlines and laughing (who doesn't love to laugh though) and random acts of kindness.
I am not currently in a relationship b/c the last bf I had cheated on me and I am so close to senior year that I don't really think its worth getting into another relationship.

Well I am posting again. My name is Grant and I am 21 years old. I am gay. I used to have problems being friends with people because I thought I had to change or deny who I was. I now feel like people can accept me for me or hate me. I like being creative. I take pictures, write poems and try writing stories. I like watching television and movies. I currently watch Survivor and Being Erica. I also watch Glee when it's on. My favorite movies are Rent, Hangman's Curse, Timeline, The Covenant, Practical Magic, The Craft, and The Hangover. I like to read and I have a mixed taste. Some books I like are Hush, Hush, City of Bones, The Laramie Project, After, The Giver, The Beast House, The Whole World was Watching, Wisdom of our Fathers, The jester, and Kindred. Hello. I am Lena, and this is not my first foray into ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) friends_i_want. If you are feeling adventurous, here is my previous post. I have met wonderful people and have begun numerous fascinating friendships thanks to this community, and I felt the desire to post again.
I am 24 years old and I live in Birmingham, Alabama. I am a princess, and in my journal you will doubtless come across all things of girlish indulgence: frivolous spending, an obsession with handbags, a love of cosmetics and perfume, and an adoration for fashion. I am attempting to convince myself not to wear so very much black, as it is nearly spring. I enjoy good wine: asti and riesling are my favorites. I am carrying on a romance with tea and good books.
I attend The University of Alabama, where I am a Master's student. I am applying to Ph.D. programs in Sociology and History, though my Master's will be in Women's Studies. Yes, this means that I am a feminist. Eventually I want to teach at the university level and publish books, both within my field of choice as well as within the field of fiction. I am in the process of writing a novel.

I'm Yanely from Massachusetts, and I like reading different types of journals. So if you can't relate to anything I say, then you should probably add me. And if you can relate to everything I say, you should probably add me too.
I turn 18 soon, but not soon enough to get me a damn job. I'm currently finishing high school, and come next July I will be going to university. Where may you ask? Australia. A little far from home, but hey it's a journey and I'm all about fun.
I enjoy reading about drunken stupors, heart to hearts, books, poetry, bitchy rants, and things that humor me.
Uh, I don't really know what to write. I write in my journal a lot, I read more than I comment but I comment fairly frequently. I'm looking for people who can carry witty conversations about nothing, so if you're up to that by all means add me.

We're going to keep this short and sweet (Frank and birthday vgifts will be back next week). You've probably seen the updates to our main menu. Don't be alarmed. You'll find everything you need, just in slightly shifted format. Just so you know, we based these changes on input from both experienced and new users who were not familiar with LiveJournal. Our goal was to reduce barriers to usability and make LiveJournal more accessible and easy to navigate. Please note that this is a work in progress. We welcome your detailed suggestions in feedback. We thank you, in advance, for helping us improve your LiveJournal experience.
We've updated the global navigation menu:
Here's a quick breakdown of what you'll find where:
- Scrapbook can now be found under Profile (thanks for your feedback, btw), along with Settings, Stats, and Edit Profile.
- You'll find all the tools you need to post and update entries under Journal, which includes posting and editing entries, managing comments and tags, and customizing your journal's style.
- Friends contains all of your friend settings, from filtering your Friends page to adding, removing, and finding new and existing friends on LiveJournal.
- Under Communities, you'll find links to manage your communities, accept community invites, and create new communities.
- Explore includes search features, RSS feeds, Question of the Day, and FRNK radio.
- Under Shop, you'll find links to upgrade or give a paid account, buy virtual gifts, purchase LiveJournal merchandise (like T-shirts), and view your payment history.
LiveJournal Mobile update:
We've enhanced LiveJournal's mobile site to improve usability and load times. We've made more of LiveJournal's features accessible via mobile, including posting comments, uploading photos, reading and commenting on friends' posts, finding and messaging friends, and more. We look forward to reviewing your feedback and recommendations for future improvements.
Other important changes:
- You can lock comments to prevent further commenting on a post, while leaving existing comments visible.
- We replaced the "Tell a friend" link with a new "Share This" widget that lets you share LiveJournal posts on other social media sites, including Facebook, Digg, Twitter, etc.
- We changed some of the icons on entries (you can hover over the icons to view descriptions).
- You'll see a Tag count on your Tag management page.
- You'll now see the 10 most recent vgifts on your profile page. To remove vgifts, left-click on the vgift and choose whether you want to remove the vgift from your profile or delete it entirely.

We've got your fix:
- UPDATE: Rolling several updates into one listing here -- 1) Scrapbook should be back and working again. 2) The problem with the Update Journal page in IE6 and IE7 should be fixed now. 3) The problem with the userpic add-on package pricing has been fixed and refunds issued to anyone who was overcharged while the erroneous prices were in place.
- Non-conforming images will now be automatically resized for custom mood themes.
- Line breaks no longer count as two characters against your entry's character limit.
- We fixed a bug on the Manage Tags page so you can clear all tags and add new tags.
- We corrected the UI for the update.bml page so it displays properly in IE8.

Third time to post and never too many to make new friends. First off, I'm an interior designer who loves loves loves LIFE. Yeah I get speed bumps here and there but hey make the most out of it right? Well, I'm a dog lover but I don't hate cats. I'm a designer so naturally I love anything about the arts, I also sketch a lot. I've recently taken up photography as a hobby, I'm still a newbie but I'm looking to improve my craft. I like listening to chill out music and soundtracks when I'm blogging or designing. Hello all.
I'm pretty new to this whole thing and have basically no clue what I'm supposed to do, so if I accidentally end up emailing this to everyone or something apologies in advance.
I'd quite like to remain anonymous, but I can tell you that I am 19, a student and I'm from London. So if you're English, or just have a basic knowledge of bbc programming and a fondness for tea that's a good start. I'm studying English Literature but am possibly the worst student in the history of the world, so this is pretty much another method of procrastination (one of my greatest talents).
I like classic films, vintage clothing, drinking a lot and dancing to new order and david bowie. But i also love Britney and countdown.
Ok thats pretty much it I think, I don't know what happens now. We shall see. OH AND I'M A GIRL. i forgot that.

My best friend moved to South Carolina on a whim and now I am without that one person who actually understands and knows me. Two of my close friends pretty much deserted me (emotionally) without any explanation in the past year, and any attempts to reconcile have been thwarted with a steady hand. So...I've been feeling lowly in the friend area at the moment. Perhaps that's why I'm reaching out to you all.
I am liberal minded, pretty empathetic, a wee bit bossy (I like to be in charge). I'm a Leo, Atheist, and feeling a bit broody as of late. I am very appreciative of good looking people (boys and girls alike) and am a bit of a flirt. There is no subject I deem as taboo. I am open to talking about anything but I do have strong opinions about certain things that can turn a conversation into a debate. I can be a bit judgmental...but I always realize it a little afterward and try to correct my thinking and behavior.

Hello, everyone. My name is Brandon. I am 24 year old from Georgia. I am work as a lame grocery store cashier for four years. I do have an associate degree in computer technology but I am unable to find a job in my field. My personality is a bit hard to put into words sometimes. I am shy fellow. I am definitely not the person who likes to start conversation but I do like to join in. I am also very nice and friendly and hardly have a temper. You really have to piss me off to make me angry with you, however, I tend to hold grudges if you do. Although I am not a talker, I am a great listener and I tend to overhear conversations around me, which does distract me if I am doing something. I am not a strong person physically nor mentally. Stress and pressure can easily crush or cripple in the inside, so I tend to walk away from drama. I am also a lonely fellow who has no friends for the most part; however, since I was bullied and double-crossed when I was young, it takes awhile to gain my trust and even longer to open my heart. Let's just say that it's been years since I opened my heart to anyone in real life and even online (except in this blog). I am an open-minded person who is loves to figure things out or even know how things work in this world. I am open to new ideas and I do like to question things if I have the opportunity. There are many things in society that I do question and I take the time and pleasure to look it up. In real life, people consider me to be child-like and that's how I really feel. I don't really act my age and I always consider myself to be immature (even though my people told me I am the opposite). My interesting includes writing, gaming, a bit of anime (which I want to expand my knowledge), poetry, and daydreaming.
My fandoms include: Pokemon, Kirby, Billy Hatcher, Sailor Moon, CSI, CSI: NY. I been around LJ for about 4 years now. Not much special about my entries other than letting my thoughts run as well as posting stuff that means something to me. I guess that's me.

Art is my life. I am graduating highschool this year and I plan to maybe go to college and study art. I also someday want to go to Norway. If I make it there I want to go to the rest of Europe.
